"Sarah's approach to the whole person has helped me develop awareness of habits outside of the traditional nutrition and workout circles"
I’ll be honest – I signed up to work with Sarah because I wanted to lose weight. Mindfulness, wellness, blah blah blah – sounds great, but to paraphrase Jerry McGuire, ‘show me the scale’.
However, while I have certainly lost pounds, what I’ve gained in working with Sarah is even more valuable.
First, her approach to the whole person has helped me develop awareness of habits outside of the traditional nutrition and workout circles – things like the importance of sleep, of avoiding negative self-talk, of having a morning routine. I joke that awareness has become my sixth sense!
Second, her manner of coaching is so non – judgmental and ‘hey I’ve been there before’ that it’s very comfortable to share ‘bad’ habits with her.
Many of the skills and habits I’ve developed working with her have ‘stuck’ because she showed me how to make them stick, and because they work.
I feel like in addition to losing weight, I’ve gained a way to deal with wellness challenges and obstacles that I never had before.

" Sarah always finds a new perspective to handle any situation - food, meditation, sleep, or stress."
Before I started with the Grace & Grit program, I was stuck in a self-depreciating habit of thinking that I was overweight and everything I tried in the past wouldn't help.
There were times when food caused guilt and I didn't like the way I looked, and I had a very poor way of thinking about myself and the actions I took.
Now, I am more comfortable with my body, I choose better food alternatives and I have a healthier mindset about my daily habits.
I participate in daily affirmations; I plan and prepare my meals ahead of time and practice some form or movement every day.
I believe that with the right support, anything can be done. Having Sarah lead our group through weekly mindset exercises reinforced the positive qualities and characteristics each one of us has.
Through this program, I have been able to release most of my negativity towards myself and create boundaries that protect my peace of mind.
Sarah provides a safe space to say the things that I think and feel even when they aren't "good" or constructive. She always finds a new perspective to handle any situation - food, meditation, sleep, or stress.
I will continue to hold onto the habits of setting boundaries, practicing a healthy mindset through daily affirmations, planning my food ahead of time to avoid temptations and moving my body daily.

"I saw quick results through the grace & grit program... the accountability was awesome!"
I’d spent years doing deskbound work, staring at my computer and putting in overtime week after week. I’ve never had a steady workout routine and would not count myself as a morning person so physical activity was largely left for the weekend, if that.
My energy was low and my stress was high, I had interrupted sleep and was eating a little too much comfort food as a result. I saw quick results during the course of completing the Grace & Grit program…the accountability was awesome!
I got on a schedule of daily movement; which increased my energy and decreased my stress helping with my sleep and overall mindset making setting new and bigger goals easier and I went on.
I tried new recipes and improved my nutritional intake, too.
I highly recommend working with Sarah and Chris to break through the barriers holding you back. It can be done!

"Sarah’s approach is real… She creates a space where being vulnerable feels good, because she’s comfortable being vulnerable too. It becomes a trust factor. It makes all the difference."
I’d followed Sarah (Crom Wellness) on Instagram for a few years. When she recently started posting about The Evolve program, it intrigued me. I feel like I got to know her better through those posts. I started looking forward to reading them/watching videos. She was real, and instead of promoting some sort of new way to lose weight and/or get healthy, she talked about real life, she shared her real life, and there were moments I felt as if she were talking directly to me. And that was the game changer. It was personal. And I needed that. I needed someone who wanted to understand me and my struggles in order to help me move forward in a better, healthier way.
Sarah’ approach is real… She creates a space where being vulnerable feels good, because she’s comfortable being vulnerable too. It becomes a trust factor. It makes all the difference.
Honestly, Sarah makes our program about me. I’ve worked with personal trainers and coaches before, and it quickly becomes more about them. I’ve had moments where I’ve even felt looked down on if I struggled with some piece of the program. It’s defeating and humiliating. Sarah constantly checks in with how I’m feeling about the things I’m working on and asks if I need to tweak anything or need to talk about doing something differently. It’s very much a one on one approach within a group setting, which truly is the best of both worlds.
Instead of finding comfort in food, I’m definitely seeing a mindset change. I’m looking more at food as taking care of my mind and my body. I’m so much more aware of moving throughout the day. Because it’s so crucial to health, Sarah talks a lot about sleep. It’s really made me aware of bad habits right before bedtime. And if one suggestion doesn’t feel right or doesn’t work for me, she’s always ready to offer something else to try (and that’s for sleep, nutrition, exercise, mindset). So I never feel defeated, like there’s just no hope for a good night’s rest. I know with her help, I’m going to find my sweet spot with sleep.
Before I decided to work with Sarah, I followed her on social media. And I began doing things out of my comfort zone, like wearing my bathing suit on the beach (the first time in decades!), encouraged by her words and her actions. I began feeling empowered. And I thought, wow, if she makes me feel like this just by listening to her and watching her, imagine what could happen if I worked with her.

''I gained motivation to regain control of my eating, healthy alternatives for snacks, and much needed support to make changes with a sustainable plan to start.''
Before I started working with Sarah I was stuck with motivation to change my bad snacking habits. It was causing me to slowly gain the weight back that I had lost 5 years ago, which was making me depressed.
Sarah came to me highly recommended and I thought it could be the thing that really helps push me back into a healthier mindset.
I gained motivation to regain control of my eating, healthy alternatives for snacks, support to make changes, and a plan to start. We also worked on other healthy habits like- moving every hour, planning meals better, incorporating more stretching into my activity routines.
If you’re on the fence about working with a wellness coach like Sarah, try it! it could definitely be the ONE thing that makes the big difference in your health.

''Although I had a “healthy” diet and would jump on my Peloton a fair amount, Sarah helped me understand that if I didn't deal with my stress, I was not going to be successful with these other measures.''
I'm 53 and married with 3 kids and work full time in a somewhat stressful job. Over the last 6 months I’ve let this get in the way of my health goals.
I started working with Sarah to develop mechanisms and habits to deal with my stress so that I could implement healthy nutrition and movement into my schedule.
Although I had a “healthy” diet and would jump on my Peloton a fair amount, Sarah helped me understand that if I didn't deal with my stress, I was not going to be successful with these other measures.
Sarah helped me with mindful eating, and MOST importantly with shifting my mind set with small steps towards my bigger goals, helping me reach them!
Sarah meets her clients where they’re at, understanding that everyone is different and going to respond to different prompts and motivations. She knows how to push just enough and without forcing.
I know it can be hard to invest time and money into yourself, but Sarah will help you understand that if you can't make these changes and invest in yourself, you are not going to be able to provide support to your family, friends, and job, and if that isn't worth it I don't know what is!"
"My favorite part about working with Chris and Sarah is there's ZERO judgement. There are days that will be harder than others and they guide us to pick up where we left off. Chris would remind me that every day is a new beginning. If you fall off one day (even a few days), it is okay. We are human. "

My husband and I have known Chris and Sarah for over a decade and we have weathered storms together. From Rockaway Beach where it all began, storming back after their gym was destroyed by hurricane Sandy in 2012 and all the experiences thereafter.
Chris and Sarah have been a huge support system and mentor to us for many years, having helped us mentally and physically overcome huge obstacles that life threw our way.
Over the years, we have had a lot of ups and downs with our health journey. We now have 3 kids, moved from New York to South Carolina and the weight of the hustle and bustle took us off track.
We endured a lot during this Pandemic and we have let ourselves go quite a bit. Going out to eat all of the time, drinking a ton of soda, eating junk, going to bed late. The list goes on.
My husband works 2 full-time jobs and I am a stay-at-home mom. And it tends to feel like there is absolutely 0 time left in a day.
I was finding myself eating cold waffles off of small unfinished plates because I was just too tired. By the end of the day, our energy levels were completely depleted and “tomorrow” was just another auto pilot day.
We joined the 12 week program with Chris and Sarah to help us get out of this rut we were in and get started on our mental and physical health journey. Training our mindset gave us an opportunity to focus on our behavior first and foremost.
The weekly coaching calls helped us stay in our lane and mindful of the goals we are trying to achieve, helping us stay accountable. We were even able to get through all of the holidays remaining active and setting new goals.
Sarah helped us pay attention to our hunger cues, listening to our bodies when we were hungry and not snacking out of boredom.
Sarah helped us stay determined on one small goal at a time, maintaining a healthy lifestyle of eating, which then gave us the energy to help take on our days.
My favorite part about working with Chris and Sarah is there's ZERO judgement. There are days that will be harder than others and they guide us to pick up where we left off. Chris would remind me that every day is a new beginning. If you fall off one day (even a few days), it is okay. We are human. We picked up where we left off knowing it’s okay to start again.
We truly understand it is hard to set goals for yourself sometimes because life gets tangled and busy, but if you do not PUT YOURSELF FIRST, you can not be 100 percent for everyone else in your life or the world.
Chris and Sarah have made such an impact on our journey and if you too need guidance and are struggling, reach out your hand. I promise they will pull you out.
Well, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
